About
Built by an engineer who got tired of watching people memorise and fail
Most certification platforms sell video hours. Watching someone configure OSPF does not make you able to configure OSPF - especially not at 2 a.m. when a production trunk has stopped passing a VLAN.
EthernetQuest is a hands-on training platform for infrastructure engineers. The idea is simple: read a short explanation, answer a question about it immediately, then type the commands yourself into a device that actually responds. By the time you sit the exam, the CLI is not a test - it is a tool you already use.
The platform starts with CCNA 200-301 because that is where most careers in this region actually begin. Microsoft, Azure, Security+, Linux and Sophos tracks follow, one at a time, each finished before the next is announced.

How the labs work (and how they do not)
Every lab runs against a simulator written for this platform. You get a prompt, a device with real state - VLANs, interfaces, routes, ACLs - and a task list. You configure it with genuine IOS commands, and the grader checks the resulting device state rather than the exact words you typed. If you reach the correct outcome a different way, you still pass, which is how real engineering works.
It is not a full Cisco IOS image and we do not pretend otherwise. The banner in every session says so. The simulator covers the command surface the exam and the job actually require: VLANs and trunks, STP and EtherChannel, static routing and single-area OSPF, DHCP, NAT, ACLs, device hardening and Layer 2 security.
What we will not do
We do not sell, host or link to exam dumps, leaked questions or "latest dumps" PDFs. Every question here is written from the vendor's published blueprint. Using dumps breaches the exam agreement you sign, can get your certification revoked, and leaves you unable to do the job you were hired for. We would rather lose the sale.
What the roadmap means
The certification roadmap on this site lists work in progress. Nothing there is sold, marketed as available, or opened for pre-payment. When a track is ready it moves to "available now" with a full lesson count, lab list and question bank behind it.
Team training and academies
If you run an IT department, a training academy or a bootcamp, the Team plan gives you seat management, certification assignment per staff member, progress and engagement reporting, and licence pooling. Cohorts of 10 or more get a dedicated onboarding session and custom milestone reporting for sponsors.

The honest version of the pitch
A platform does not get you certified. Doing the work does. What we can promise is that the work here mirrors the real thing: real commands, real device state, real exam weighting, and explanations that tell you why rather than just what to click.
If you put in an hour a day for two months, you will walk into that exam centre knowing how to configure, verify and troubleshoot the network - which is the actual point of the certification.
